At least roughly, because sneakers are sometimes available on different dates per region. So don't shoot the messenger. We start from todays sneakers and go back to the still wanted classics. 2021-09 Peak Taichi 2.0 Lou Williams Underground Goat “Game Console”

Peak Sport Products Co., Limited (“Peak Sport” )is a leading branded sportswear company in China and is primarily engaged in designing, manufacturing and distributing sports products under the “PEAK” brand. As one of the pioneers in the sportswear industry in China, Peak Sport started on footwear products in 1988 and established the “PEAK” brand in 1991. Lou Williams is one of a handful of NBAers who are signed to Chinese shoe brand Peak. This Lou Williams shoes is based on the second-generation game consoles. With the gray game console elements, the classic red and blue color matching, and the "game controller", "circuit" and other elements are incorporated into the design to focus on the love of video games.

2021-8 Puma Suede “Animal Crossing”

Puma and Nintendo have teamed up once again to bring you this collection inspired by Animal Crossing™: New Horizons. Taking cues from the popular game, the collection’s streetwear silhouettes are reimagined with natural colors and authentic graphics from the game.The Suede is fashioned with a beige hairy suede base layer and comes devised with triple stacked side stripes that bear leafy graphics from Tom Nook’s aloha-style shirt. 2021-8 Puma Future Rider “Animal Crossing”

The ultimate crossover, these Puma and Animal Crossing: New Horizons sneakers are designed to celebrate the latest release in one of Nintendo's most beloved and best-selling game series. Of course Puma comes with a Furture Rider Animal Crossing edition. Top halves alternate between nylon, canvas and suede materials and feature the Animal Crossing leaf logo on the heels. Its various overlays call upon minty teals and dusted pinks and purples for styling and the TPU mold that’s planted on the lower lateral heel references the video game’s design elements.

2021-8 Puma Wild Riders “Animal Crossing”

 The new sneaker is a new rendition of the Puma Wild Riders and comes in the iconic pastel Animal Crossing colorway. Mainly dressed in green, blue and peach accents, the side panel features an almost-translucent graphic of the ever-popular Animal Crossing characters. The heel also sees an embroidered leaf logo on the heel. The peach accents are further emphasized by the suede detailing seen bordering the eyelets and the gum sole.

Puma is always active in the world of video gaming. So with Puma’s partnership in the esports  with North American organization Cloud9 you can aspect new sneakers. Power on a classic silhouette with a Cloud9 twist. The Puma x Cloud9 Low Racer, despite the fact that the sneaker is predominantly white, has striking Cloud9 blue vibes and bold a bold Puma design. 2021-7 Lavair Exo “Sega Mega Drive”

 

Sega and English shoe brand Lavair have partnered up for limited-edition Mega Drive sneakers. The collection consists of two styles of sneakers. One style is the "retro-tinged" Exo Sega Mega Drive Analog, while the other is the "more understated" Exo Sega Mega Drive Mono. The EXO Sega Mega Drive Analog has a pink/purple hue, designed to match the original packaging the Mega Drive came in.

 

In contrast, the EXO has Sega Mega Drive Mono with a simpler grid pattern with no coloring, making it more like the game packaging. The sneakers pay tribute to the era with "16-bit" stitching on the label on the tongue of the shoes. And what makes the sneakers extra is of course that the Sega Mega Drive logo is nicely large on the heel. In short, the Mono and Analog variants look and feel like the consoles we remember so well, while being comfortable shoes. It's a difficult balance!

2021-6 Puma Court Rider “2K”

Puma has teamed op with video game company 2K for a collection that includes the Court rider. The Puma Court Rider 2K is dressed in vibrant hues, including pink, teal, yellow and blue, with white and light gray consuming most of the upper. To complete the look, the shoe sits atop a white midsole and outsole. The stand-out look comes to life thanks to 2K21 branding at the tongue, for footwear that's ready to take on the court – and the streets. And as with all Court Rider shoes, it features performance tech such as comfort-focused, full-length Rider foam midsoles, as well as rubber outsoles and a dynamic lacing system for support and stability. These Court Rider shoes are available both in real life and virtually in 2K’s hit basketball title, NBA 2K21.

2021-5 Nike PG 5 “Playstation” Blue

The only thing beyond Paul George's gaming talent is his ambition on the pitch. Its partnership with PlayStation continues in the form of a new limited edition of the PG 5. This sneaker completely disrupts the color scheme of the first PG 5 'PlayStation'. Blue and black hues dominate the upper and are combined with a platinum midsole, laces and tongue logos.Graphics on the forefoot straps and on the heel overlay reconnect with the iconic symbols on controllers.

NBA star Paul George is back with yet another pair of sneakers, created in partnership with Nike and Sony. he PG 5 are designed in collaboration with PS5 designer Yujin Morisawa and are heavily inspired by the PS5 look, particularly colours and textures.

According to Sony, "the PlayStation’s signature circle, square, cross, and triangle shapes are woven into the materials like a DualSense controller." Asides from these small details, there's also a well-known PlayStation logo on the tongue of the right shoe and inside the right shoe, near the heel area.

On the other hand, the left shoe's tongue and heel area feature Paul George’s PG logo.

"As many of you, I’ve been a die-hard PlayStation fan all my life, so it’s an honour to introduce my newest creative project with my favourite brands: the PG 5 PlayStation 5 colourway," said LA Clippers's star.

2021-4 Reebok Instapump Fury OG “Digital Glow” “Game Console”

A sneaker designed by Floris with a nod to the now classic video game Space Invaders. The lines in the shoe give that typical straight, fast and quick 80's look. This sneaker has a versatile upper of leather, suede and textile combined with different graphic shapes. The white woven textile tongue features the space invaders label and the heel features a rubberized pixelated alien graphic known as the crab. Furthermore, the sneaker has an excellent stabilizer which completes this sporty model. The sneakers come in the colors black, white and green. Van Bommel has been making luxury men's and women's shoes since 1734. Creative director Floris van Bommel is the 9th generation shoemaker within the Van Bommel family. In addition to the fashionable Floris van Bommel brand, Shoefactory van Bommel also carries the age-old classic men's brand 'Van Bommel'.

“This is a limited edition 'Floris van Bommel & Space invaders sneaker'. I was born in 1975 and was therefore a typical 80s child. I was in love with ET, record holder 'Lolo ball' jumping and I wrote exclusively with scented pens (I'm not sure o that's a typical 80s thing, but I did..). Tom, my childhood best friend, had an Atari game console. Space Invaders was the game of games for us. We played it for hours on end. So with these Space Invaders sneakers, the circle is pretty complete. If only I could send them back in time to those two childhood friends. That would make for an insane, typical 80s adventure.

2021-3 Puma Future Rider “Cloud 9”

Launching as part of a larger collection with the esports organization, the CLOUD9 x PUMA Future Rider ‘Blue Azur’ features a black textile upper with a white leather Formstrip and tonal suede overlays at the toe and heel. The CLOUD9 logo adorns a blue TPU piece affixed to the lateral heel, matching the blue topline of the lightweight injection-molded EVA midsole. Underfoot, the studded Federbein outsole provides both grippy traction and impact absorption.

2021-2 Öus Phibo 1123 “Blanka”

Brazilian sneaker company öus has been active since 2008. Now they've teamed up with Capcom to honor the legendary Street Fighter II.

Phibo 1123 Blanka is a tribute to the fighter Blanka, who turned green after a mutation and grew up in the Amazon jungle. Rafael Narciso explains that "to represent him, we created leather with very strong textures, inspired by the mutant aspect of the player". The inner part of the sneaker has Blanka's face and orange terry cloth, which represents his hair.

2021-2 Öus Phibo 5813 “Hadouken”

Brazilian sneaker company öus has been active since 2008. Now they've teamed up with Capcom to honor the legendary Street Fighter II.

The Phibo 5813 Hadouken brings one of the most famous moves in the franchise. The two feet have a lenticular effect on the back that simulates the characters Ken and Ryu throwing Hadouken at each other while walking. In addition, the colors also refer to magic.

2021-1 Adidas X9000L3 “VIT.02”

Team Vitality, the world’s leading esports organization, is pleased to partner with adidas to announce a selection of Fortnite Challenges to celebrate the launch of the VIT.02 sneakers. The Fortnite Challenge commemorates the release of Team Vitality’s second version, VIT.02 and adidas limited edition sneakers. 2020-11 Puma RS-Fast “Super Mario Galaxy”

The world is too small for Puma. That is why this RS-Fast is all about Super Mario Galaxy. This game came out in 2007 and is made for the Nintendo Wii. The sneaker has a black upper. The white, purple and silver details are reminiscent of the Galaxy. Black heel with a star print on the heel. Furthermore, we see a star from the game depicted on the side and on the lip. Which completes this Puma RS-Fast.

2020-11 Puma RS-Dreamer 'Super Mario Sunshine'

The Nintendo x J.Cole x PUMA RS-Dreamer ‘Super Mario Sunshine’ is taken from a capsule collection commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Super Mario franchise. The tropical setting of Isle Delfino inspires this vibrant colorway of J. Cole’s signature hoops shoe, featuring a watery blue textile upper with Shine Sprites adorning the heel tabs. Multicolor speckled detailing covers the ProFoam midsole, equipped with RS-Foam in the heel for superior impact protection.

2020-11 Puma Clyde “Super Mario Sunshine”

This Puma Clyde is completely designed in the theme of Super Mario Sunshine. This game came out in July 2002 and gave Mario new possibilities. The sneaker has a beige upper. The Puma logo is blue. In the blue we see details, which makes it look like water. This refers to water cannons that you will encounter later in the game. Furthermore, we see the Puma Clyde logo printed in red letters. The white midsole and lace make the sneaker one again. Attached is a pack of yellow laces, which also fits perfectly with this Clyde. The Puma Clyde X Super Mario Sunshine, is Foot locker exclusive.

2020-11 Puma Future Rider “Super Mario 64”

Future Rider and Mario join forces. This time the sneaker is inspired by Super Mario 64, from 1996. The upper of the Puma is white, with beige overlays. The blue and red colors are descendants of Mario’s recognizable outfit. On the side, near the white midsole, we see a small block with a brick wall. 2020-11 Puma Future Rider “NES”

Nintendo and PUMA have teamed up for another video game-inspired shoe, with the new 1983 NES console-inspired Future Rider “Nintendo Entertainment System”.

Not only are the colors used throughout the Future Rider reminiscent of the NES console; the embellishments further invoke nostalgia around the vintage gaming experience. An 8-bit Super Mario Bros. image is used on the tongue tag, mimicking the look of the game when it was released for the NES. A bead chain that features a rubber charm of the original NES remote dangles from the laces as well. 2020-11 Reebok Club C Revenge “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla”

Ubisoft has partnered with Reebok for a Valhalla-themed Club C Revenge. Boasting a crisp, chilly color scheme and plenty of Assassin’s Creed-specific detailing, the modified Club C is a high-quality homage to the latest installment in the Triple-A franchise’s Viking protagonists. Uppers are constructed of supple white leather, with black Vector logos snaking around the midfoot and Tiffany blue shades on the heel. The quarter’s standard Reebok badge is replaced by one that reads “Like a Viking,” while two different crossed axe graphics are placed on both the tongue tag and the lateral heel for a nod to the Nordic warriors’ armament of choice. Collars are lined with black terry cloth, midsoles feature an aged eggshell finish and Tiffany blue outsoles round off the look.

2020-11 Reebok Classic Leather Legacy “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla”

Another perfect collaboration, this time between Reebok and Ubisoft. Reebok brings its Classic Leather Legacy into play. Up your status with the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla x Classic Leather Legacy. A sporty re-imagining of the familiar low-top heritage hero, the Classic Leather Legacy is a force to be reckoned with! Dialling up the aurora borealis aesthetic, this colourway combines the black of the night with the green of the light. Further elevating the theme, the upper is decorated with a symbol of two ravens – representing memory and thought. The embossed raven symbol once again shows the deep meaning this animal has for the Vikings.

2020-11 Reebok Zig Kinetica "Assassin's Creed Valhalla"

Ubisoft and Reebok are teaming up to take the story of the highly anticipated Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the next chapter in the Assassin's Creed franchise, beyond the game and take the Viking attitude to the streets. Inspired by the deep black Scandinavian night and Northern Lights, the Zig Kinetica x ASSASSIN’S CREED VALHALLA is designed with a black molded mesh upper, its signature zigzag design for a striking look and an energy-returning sole in emerald green. The model is a nod to the Viking lifestyle and features the symbol of Synin, a raven who represents an important feature of Norse mythology and helps key figure Eivor on his journey.

2020-11 Puma Future Rider “Cloud9”

Puma’s first huge partnership in the esports is with North American organization Cloud9.  Puma brings out the big guns in this collaboration with three sneakers. The collection includes the Future Rider, RS-X, “Active Gaming Footwear” (AGF). The Future Rider is inspired by one of Puma´s most iconic models, the Fast Rider, from which several elements are reused in this new shoe. Light blue and white are combined in this late model. 2020-9 Puma RS-Dreamer "Super Mario 64"

The classic video game Super Mario 64 from Nintendo is being honored by Puma with a new release of J. Cole's RS-Dreamer sneaker.

The color scheme may look familiar to longtime fans of the video game franchise, and it carries the shades found on the character Mario. Bright red primarily on the mesh upper, while the "Super Mario" logo is featured on the tongue pull tab. Puma RS-X3 'Rings'  

Launching as part of a collaborative capsule celebrating Sega’s flagship video-game series, the Sonic the Hedgehog x RS-X3 'Rings' showcases a number of unique details on PUMA’s retro silhouette. The upper is constructed from black mesh with matching black leather overlays trimmed in red and blue. The colorway is reminiscent of the cover art for the 1994 Sega Genesis game “Sonic & Knuckles,” dressed in black with hits of red and blue. Gold rings and Sonic’s likeness appear on the heel, while a checkerboard print lines the footbed. Additional game-inspired graphics adorn the TPU pieces on the midsole, also features a ring counter and number of lives indicator. The “x 3” on the lives counter could also be a reference to the name of the silhouette. The insole features a checkerboard pattern, which is a common pattern used in the video game stage designs.

2019-11 Asics Gel-BND “Mega Man”

The full 8-bit gaming library has been etched into almost everyone's memory with many series still continuing or drawing inspiration from. Among them, Mega Man, or for some better known as Rockman, has created a lasting impact from console generation to the next. More than right now also comes a sneaker for this hero.

Asics uses its Gel-BND for this. Bright blues in two narrow but different hues outline both the overlays and the bottom, while the lighter variation dresses up the latter; laces follow suit with the most playful wink thanks only to the Tiger Stripes forming in the pixel art style, as well as the power bar on the tongue strip. Mega-Man is certainly looking forward to a colorful future.

2019-11 Adidas AM4 VIT.01

Team Vitality. The French team, known for its dominating performances in the Rainbow Six series and Counter Strik: Global Offensive, worked with adidas to develop the design.

The AM4 VIT.01 sports a woven monochrome upper emblazoned with black and white geometric shapes that symbolize the wings of the team’s mascot, the bee. A yellow line on the toebox represents the “V for Victory” sign, created when the left and right sneakers are placed next to each other.

Familiar adidas details include a cushioned BOOST sole and reflective grey heel reinforcement to match the Three Stripes branding at the midfoot. Team Vitality branding and logos appear on the tongues, while a “VIT.01” inscription is engraved on the sneaker’s heel. A black sockliner and outsole complete the design with an understated touch.

2019-10 Puma RS-X “Tetris”

2019-10 Puma RS 9.8 “Tetris”

Tetris was designed by Alexei Pazjitnov. The first playable version came out in 1984. Puma uses its legendary RS series to honor Tetris. The RS has been completely reworked. The sneaker is now covered in a soft cushion and premium leather with lycra, while the lightweight PU midsole adds the finishing touch. The sneaker comes in the colors Puma White and Luminous Blue. And Tetris? The tetrominos are colorful on the heel. The tongue features both the puma and the Tetris logo. And tetris is also written on the fading colors of the sole. Oh yes, if you forgot the year when Tetris became a playable game, don't worry, Puma has subtly printed this on the outside of the sneaker.

2019-9 Nike Air Max 97 “Nintendo 64”

Nike reintroduces the 1997 Nintendo 64-inspired Nike Air Max. The sneakers are an ode to Nintendo’s iconic console from 1996, but are nowhere called "Nintendo" for legal reasons. Yet you immediately see that the design is a nod to the Nintendo console.

The sneakers have a mainly gray design, with a few colorful keys here and there that represent the face buttons of the Nintendo 64. The Air Max logo is very similar to Nintendo's, and the left and right tongues of the sneakers read "Power" and "Reset" respectively.

2019-4 Adidas ZX 10000C Overkill “Game Console”

Plugging into the video games that defined a generation, adidas and Berlin-based Overkill head back to the 90s for another retro take on the ZX 10000C. Taking a trip down memory lane, the duo reunite to remember all the gaming favourites. A nod to the consoles that launched at the same time as the original ZX line, this new release adds grey, magenta and blue tones to its uppers. True to the shoe’s form, the webbed three stripes sit to the side wall, with the Torsion bar in the sole for added support. Not yet game over for this collaborative duo, branding to the heels mark this two-player release.

2019-4 Under Armour Anatomix Spawn “MK11 Sub-Zero”

Under Armor teamed up with New York Knicks basketball player Dennis Smith Jr. to create a custom Anatomix Spawn colorway, inspired by the left-hand basketball player's feint and his favorite Mortal Kombat's ability to freeze his opponents, coinciding with the return of the latest installment of the popular video game, features a navy and blue upper inspired by Sub-Zero's armored vest, as well as frozen-looking accents and an icy insole with the Mortal Kombat logo. ”This custom colorway of the UA Anatomix Spawn conveys my love for Mortal Kombat and Sub-Zero to life and I am excited to share it with players who also share my same gaming passion, ”said the basketball player.

2018-11 Reebok Aztrek Billy’s Tokyo "Nintendo"

Japanese retailer Billy’s has created its own version of the Reebok Aztrek. The color-mismatched pair represents the beloved gaming system the Super Famicom console (aka the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo) with brightly colored neoprene panels in the logo's signature colors of red, blue, green, and yellow. The gray suede overlays on the sneaker represent the gray plastic used to build the actual console hardware. Even the Reebok Classic logos on the tongue, heel and insole are written in a multi-colored font. A subtle touch is the "A", "B", "X" and "Y" printed on the midsole to represent the controller's button layout. And all this in a wonderfully comfortable sneaker, what more could you want?

2018-10 Supra Factor Blackops "Call of Duty"

Supra Footwear again comes with something special. Supra Footwear launched the Black Ops 4 inspired 'Blackout collection'. Created in collaboration with the Activision team, these sneakers are exclusive and stylish designs. The sneakers have cool so-called two-tone paracord laces, multi-panel breathable knit uppers, while the Black Ops 4 in-game inspired digi-camo EVA outsole adds a nice touch (just look at the pictures).

The sneakers are also co-branded "The Shield and the Crown" on the lining, tongue and hang tag. A very successful collaboration with a stylish touch, good work Supra Footwear. We look forward to the next cooperation.

2018-6 Puma RS-0 “Sega Sonic”

The RS-0 Sonic is inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog and the world it protects. The textured suede of the upper represents Sonic's fur, while the plaid outsole is inspired by the roads Sonic walks on. They are sneakers with many various small hints incorporated into the shoes. For example, you have the green tones that you know from the Green Hill Zone, which is almost standard the first level in a Sonic game. You also see golden rings on the inside of the shoe and you also have a nice Sonic wink with the golden rings at the laces. Finally, you have the name of Sonic the Hedgehog on the sole, how cool is that!

Puma joins forces with Japanese game company Sega. The collaboration is dedicated to the game Sonic The Hedgehog. For this Puma comes with a brand new sneaker, called the RS-0 This sneaker is inspired by Dr. Eggman and his flying craft. The sneakers have many various small hints incorporated into the shoes. Embossed leather upper is reminiscent of Dr. Eggman. The metallic sole and warning stripes are reminiscent of his scientific devices. And a nice Sonic wink with the golden rings at the laces.

The PG 2 'PlayStation' collaboration celebrates PG's affinity for the PS4 and his ability to bring his game wherever he plays, from the court to the console.

2017-11 Under Armour Curry 4 “Xbox one X”

Under Armour and Microsoft have teamed up to uniquely celebrate the release of the Curry 4 and Xbox One X, which are both dropping on the same date. The Curry 4 features a matte black colorway that is accented by a metallic green circuitry design. UA and Curry branding as well as Xbox’s logo is prominently featured on the side. A complimentary colored white outsole completes the look of this special edition of Curry’s signature shoe.

The Curry 4 came with a VIP kit that includes a similar themed Xbox One X console, a Xbox-themed suitcase and a host of other accessories like Xbox Staance socks. The VIP kit was only given out to a small number of select recipients, so not for public sale.

2014-8 Converse One Star Ox “Bowser”

Nintendo has once again collaborated with Converse. These new releases mark the 40th anniversary of the Converse One Star, hence the tongue tag the 40x star detailing on them.  These sneakers has a red based One Star Oxford. The red reference to Bowsers color and the mushrooms found throughout the game. These kicks feature a silver star debossed in the mid-panel, studded stripes on each heel, and unique tongue tag of Bowser, so all referring back to Mario Bros.

2014-8 Converse One Star Ox “Mario”

Nintendo has once again collaborated with Converse. These new releases mark the 40th anniversary of the Converse One Star, hence the tongue tag the 40x star detailing on them.  These sneakers has a red based One Star Oxford. 2013-6 Bethesda Fallout “Vault 101”

Bethesda Softworks released Vault 101 Sneakers based on the series of Fallout post-apocalyptic role-playing video games. Created by Tweak Footwear, these Fallout sneakers have blue and yellow colors that are so popular for those locked away inside the vaults. The are covered in blue suede leather with yellow trim, which is guaranteed tob leed if you get them wet or expose them to high doses of radiation. The shoes also feature a molded EVA sock liner for durability, but does nothing to reduce your chances of contamination. They are also known as Vault-Tec item 72778011-101.

2012-3 Converse One Star “Mario Bros”

This super cool Mario Bros sneaker was released by Converse Japan. Converse used the one star ox sneaker as a basis, but added so many nice details. These sneakers come in premium leather with a 8-bit Mario on the left heel and Koopa on the right heel. And what makes it complete is that the Converse star logo being changed into the classic star from the Mario game. Even on the heel side of the sole you can also find the mario star.

2011-11 Heyday Super Shift “Saints Row The Third”

Remember Saints Row? The first two instalments of the series were pretty serious and were rivals to the GTA series at the time of their release.

2011-8 Mad Foot “Mad Pac-Man”

The MADFOOT!, company established in 2001 by Takashi Imai teams up with Namco. The collaboration comes in the form of two high top canvas sneakers embroidered with Pac-Man characters throughout the upper and a cherry embroidered on the heel.

EA Sports teams with Nike once again to celebrate the release of their Fight Night Champion video game featuring Manny Pacquiao. And offcourse they come with  a limited edition trainer. The Zoom Huarache Trainer Low sports a metallic red upper inspired by the satin material used for the robes that boxers wear to the ring. Gold works the Swoosh on the heel, while EA Sports' logo is affixed to the tongue. The midsole is white and red with gum rubber finishing up below.

2011-3 Nike Zoom KD III “EA Sports”

EA Sports has one of the most recognizable brand slogans of our generation, used particularly with its sports simulation games like the Madden Franchise and NBA Live. For this year, it was in the game, but it wasn’t in the game (if that makes any sense); NBA Elite ’11, scheduled for a launch last October, was scrapped altogether in favor of the return of the classic NBA Jam with Kevin Durant on the cover. A special edition of the Nike Zoom KD III was made for Durant’s coverboy status – this black, blue, orange, and yellow colorway featuring pixelated graphics on the upper and a translucent blue outsole. The love between Nike and Street Fighter is real. The Nike SB Dunk Low “Chun Li” released in August 2010 as part of the Street Fighter Pack, which included the Dunk Mid “Ryu” and “Akuma” P-Rod 4 High.

This special edition Nike SB Dunk Low features an Argon Blue upper with nylon on the toe box and quarter panels along with suede overlays. White Swoosh logos, laces, and midsole atop a Gum rubber sole and Chun Li printed insoles completes the design.

2010-8 Nike Trainer 1.2 Mid “Tim Tebow PE”

Again a collaboration between Nike and EA Sports. The result of the team up is a Florida Gators-inspired Tim Tebow PE edition of Nike’s new Trainer 1.2 Mid. 2009-12 Puma Speed Cat 2.9 “Forza Motorsport 3”

2009-7 Nike Blazer Mid “Tecmo Bo”

In 2009, Nike celebrated its early advertising icon Bo Jackson, who also became a video game hero as Tecmo Bo (in the NES game Tecmo Super Bowl and his own titles Bo Jackson's Hit and Run (Gameboy) and Bo Jackson Baseball (NES).

As a tribute to super athlete Bo Jackson, the Nike Blazer Mid has been released. The shoe features a Kansas City Royals colorway with a pixelated design that pays tribute to the 1989 SNES "Tecmo Bowl" video game. Boxing phenom and arguably the world’s greatest pound for pound fighter, the Filipino community’s favorite son Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao is in the works to release a special version of the Air Trainer 1. The shoe is more performance driven and combines red and yellow on the upper. A Pacquiao logo is also seen on the heel. 2009-5 Nike SB Dunk Low “Ms Pac Man”

The latest Dunk Low Quickstrike from Nike SB takes its inspiration from the Ms. Pacman character from the popular 1980’s arcade game. The sneakers feature an eye-catching color combo, using a pink and aqua upper with a yellow tongue label and trim and black eyelet panels and laces. Additional black accents appear around the ankle and tongue piping as well as on the outsole. These will likely be a must-have for many of the Dunk craving disciples. Or maybe even more for the Ms. Pacman lovers.

2008-12 Nike Air Max 97 “Playstation 3”

Nike and Playstation found each other again.  As the nickname indicates, the sneaker is inspired by the popular Playstation 3 gaming system. 2008-11 Pony Feed The Cat “EA Sports”

Pony teamed up with EA Sports on this one to give the Pony Feed The Cat a well-deserved makeover. The simplicity of these Pony “Feed the Cat” sneakers keep a clean look, with the EA Sports colors, logo on the ankle, and famous slogan written vertically on the heel; it’s in the game”. Probleme during the realisng for us games was that where only available to athletes, celebrities, and select individuals that were on the Madden ’08 gaming tour.

2008-10 Nike Hyperdunk “NBA Live 09”

This year Nike’s Tony Parker has taken over as cover boy for the NBA Live 09 game and Nike decided to collaborate with EA Sports/NBA Live on a special makeup of the Hyperdunk. This particular Hyperdunk features a Metallic Silver upper with Tony Parker’s Nike logo on the tongue and a clear outsole that features Parker’s NBA Live 09 cover on the bottom.. As an added bonus the sneakers included a copy of the brand new EA Sports NBA Live 09 in either PS3 or XBOX360 format.

2008-10 Globe Fusion “Gears of War”

This is a Co-branding that is great in many ways. Great sneaker trademark and great game Gears of War. Based on Globe’s Fusion tech skating kicks, it features a triple-layered toe cap and hidden lacing option. Sometimes simplicity is the best. We really love the Gears of War symbol on the side. Enjoy

2008-9 Nike air force II High Premium “Atari”

The latest Nike Air Force II to surface is this High cut model that uses some inspiration from the pioneer of video game systems, Atari. Not just any Atari console but the Atari CX2600 also know as the ‘Heavy Sixer’ (yes the one with the wooden front). The upper of the sneaker features a Black leather and mesh with wood grain graphics covering the leather parts. The midsole uses the woodgrain midsole. Lastly the words “game select” are written on the upper.

2008-5 Nike SB Dunk “720 Degrees” 

The Nike SB stories get better and better by the release, especially with the Dunks. While Nike has focused predominantly on crafting the Dunk into masterpiece this year the folks in Nike’s SB department have focused on putting out meaningful models that have a good story behind them. Regardless if you skate or not this 720 Degrees Nike SB Dunk uses a good mix of vibrant colors that are inspired from the 1986 Atari video game. Using the graphics from the game and advertising as inspiration, the sneaker started with a checkerboard liner and bright orange laces. Other stand out features were a leather and suede mix on the toe, quarter panels, and heel that mirrored the darker colors in the game. Finally, we see a pink Nike Swoosh on the side panel and bright yellow on the tongue and heel. The yellow hue was directly taken from the title sequence and directly ties the shoe to the game.

2008-3 Ben Sherman “Pac-Man Blinky”

Even British clothing brand Ben Sherman joins the video game sneaker market. Catch the Pac-Man fever with these hip new slip on sneakers from Ben Sherman. These retro arcade styled shoes are available in both Space Invaders and Blinky from Pac-Man designs. Unfortunately no Inky, Pinky, or Clyde’s are available at this time. Nice detail the orange blinky gives the sneaker that little quirky Pac-Man twist or uhm…Blinky of course.

2008-2 Adidas TS Lightswitch GIL II ZERO – “HALO”

Halo has a remarkable impact on gamers around the world, but you don't have to be a die-hard addict to love Halo. Gilbert Arenas (basketball player) is an active Halo gamer, so he contributes the Adidas TS Lightswitch Gil II Zero to his model. With an all-over print of SMGs, pistols, Battle Riffles, Plasma Rifle and Sadly the Needler. The Halo logo is located throughout the midsole and the insole says 'Halo'. Actually too many details to mention. It is almost impossible to get everything on the pictures yourself. You have to see this sneaker, so many details.

2008-2 Nike SB Dunk Low Pro “Skate or Die”

Nike SB continues to deliver the heat when it comes to the Dunk, especially with their Premium line, where we see more usage of materials, colors, and stories. Here is the Skate or Die Dunk Lo SB believe to be a part of the Premium line that will only be sold at select Nike SB retailers. Meaning a lot of stores who carry general release SB’s will not be releasing these, the release will most likely be similar to that of the MF Doom from the Summer. Skate or Die was a pioneer in to the skateboard video games of today, considered to be a classic on the Nintendo gaming system. Nike SB takes inspiration from the video game and applies it to the Dunk Lo in only a method that Nike SB designers know how, a cool and vibrant mix of colors are used.

2007-11 Adidas Gil II Zero “NBA Live 2008”

Gilber Arenas (basketball player) is a huge gamer and has been plaving NBA Live sinds 1995, so no surprise here that Adidas teamed up with him. Offcourse they use Lightswitch Gil II Zero sneakers to make it happen. The sneaker is branded with EA colorways Red, White, Silver and Blue with the NBA Live 08 logo at the heel (along with the EA Sports). Arenas was chosen as the front cover model for video game NBA Live 08, but incase you forgot on the front of the sneaker it shows “cover boy”.

2007-7 Adidas Gazelle “High Score Skate”

As a reaction to the success of the Tony Hawks Pro Skater phenomenon, EA Sports released their console game: Skate. At the time of release, adidas tapped Dennis Busentiz to celebrate his appearance in the game by releasing a pair of black Gazelles that were limited to just 500 pairs. They sported a relatively plain upper and an iced sole. But the sneaker was the ‘High Score’ scribed on the side. The translucent soles offers a window to each posing rider.

2007-7 Adidas Superstar “Highscore”

In commemoration of Electronic Arts’ upcoming skateboarding game, titled Skate, adidas has joined forces with the video game company and marquee rider, Mark Gonzales Adidas uses the famous Superstar sneaker for a pair of Mark Gonzales High Score In correlation with the video game theme, the sneakers feature some details that offer a bit of a flashback to your video game past. The High Score title beside the adidas stripes hole is created in a recognizable old school video game font. The insoles also feature that same font in a High Score table. The translucent soles offers a window to the posing rider. Now onto the tricky part. There are only 500 pairs are available and the only way of getting a chance to purchase these sneakers is via unlocking special codes within the Skate game and in turn using those codes at shopadidas.com.

2007-3 Run Athletics Legacy “Mario & Yoshi”

We are almost certain that any gamer, young or old, can spot some of the patterns on the shoe pictured above. Run Athletics teamed up with Nintendo to come up with this fantastic pair of Legacy kicks. The sneaker itself has the Nintendo logo (so unique) on the back of the heel, while Nintendo's Yoshi and Mario characters are placed on both the insole and outsole of each shoe. The upper consists of a pattern made entirely of characters from Nintendo game Mario Bro's with a large letter 'M' placed on the tongue to represent Mario himself, making this definitely one of the best collaborations ever.

2006-11 Reebok Ventilators “The Godfather The Game”

EA (Electronic Arts) teamed up with Reebok to create these Reebok Fans for the game The Godfather on Xbox 360. These sneakers have a patent leather and grain leather upper, along with the game's logo printed on the heel and whatever unkind is that Vito Corleone has a rose on the insole. The bad news was that these sneakers were for sale to the public, but were given to celebrities and brand partners for their support of the game. Although this sneaker was never sold in retail, it was still a very nicely designed sneaker that was inspired by a very favorite video game.

2006-1 Nike Air Force 1 “PlayStation”

The Air Force 1s ever created – the Promo/Friends-&-Family ‘Playstation’. These were handed out to select Sony employees in celebration of the much-anticipated release of the third installment of the flagship enterprise known as the Sony Playstation; the shoes were given out throughout the year leading up to the release of the Sony Playstation 3, which hit stores on November 11, 2006 in a historic Holiday-shopping slugfest against the Nintendo Wii and XBOX 360.

The Air Force 1 Low ‘Playstation’ was designed with the console in mind; it featured the shiny piano black patent leather toe with a blue-to-white gradient on the heel. The classic Sony Playstation logo is embroidered on the heel, but what makes each and every pair stand out is the individual numberings. That’s right – each of the 150 pairs created have its own ‘serial number’ of sorts. Each of the pairs were given to hand-selected recipients.
